Review of Chicken Little
Classification: U

Running Time: 81 minutes

On general release nationwide from 10th February 2006

Based on the story of Chicken Licken, a well known fable about mob mentality, Chicken Little is a major computer animated release by Disney.

Small of stature but big of heart, Chicken Little is the plucky star of this spring's fine feathered, Disney computer animated fantasy. The pint-sized clucker (voiced by Zach Braff) is notorious in his hometown of Oakey Oaks for his wild imagination. After causing uproar by decreeing that the sky is falling down, Chicken tries to abide by the wishes of his father (Garry Marshall) and 'lay low'.

Unfortunately, the fledgling hero uncovers an alien plot to invade Earth - but he can't tell the locals because they won't believe him. So Chicken and his misfit pals Abby Mallard (Joan Cusack), Runt Of The Litter (Steve Zahn) and Fish Out Of Water single-handedly set out to save the day.

Review of Chicken Little

The design of the film is pleasingly retro and there are echoes of the son/single parent dynamic from Finding Nemo.. There is a heavier reliance on burp and pee-pee jokes but it's got heart and it's got style
