The Shows

Matinee show suitable for all ages down to 3 years old

Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby
Adapted by J.E.M. Rogers

This production features some favourite episodes from the famous Brer Rabbit stories collected by Joel Chandler Harris. Carved marionettes, dramatic lighting and effects, specially composed music and story telling by well known stage and TV star Rudolph Walker will enchant and delight all ages.

Evening show for adults and young people

Bottom's Dream by Shakespeare
A brief study of the text of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM will reveal that by juxtaposing the fairy and rustic scenes a complete play is formed; these are the ones used in this adaptation for the marionette stage.

It has been suggested by scholars that this play was the first 'DREAM' presented by Shakespeare as an entertainment for a court wedding. The extra scenes and characters in the full play were an addition for later presentation for the public.

The marionettes, lighting and staging capture Shakespeare's magic giving the audience the experience of a midsummer dream.
