The new autumn term has started but there are still plenty of opportunities for signing up for the vast array of stimulating and exciting classes available to children of all ages.

Art Budding artist? If you really like art and want more practice and a bit of extra teaching there are lots of opportunities in London.

Film If you've ever dreamt of making it big in film or telly, read on. There are several organisations around that can help your talent grow.

Theatre Live! at The Theatre Museum

ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT THE PERFORMING ARTS? Are you aged between 11 and 18? Then look no further... Join Theatre Live! A brand new Youth Theatre in the heart of Covent Garden!

Theatre Live! is an exciting opportunity for budding young performers to get involved in drama. Each term you will perform in the Covent Garden Studio Theatre and at another venue. There is NO SELECTION PROCESS on the basis of experience or ability. The Youth Theatre is open to all, even those who have no previous experience of theatre. It is only essential that participants are interested, enthusiastic and committed.

Age groups 11-14 (school years 7 to 9) start 25 September to 4 December.
Every Monday 17.00 - 19.00.
The cost £50 (£40 concessions) per term.

Age groups 15-18 (School Years 10 to 13) start 25 September to 4 December.
Every Monday 19.00 - 21.00.
Cost £50 (£40 concessions) per term.

London Bubble Youth Theatre Groups

Activities for young people aged 5 to 17

London Bubble believes that theatre can be made and enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age or experience - and our resident Youth Theatre Groups allow young people to come together and immerse themselves in the creative energies of theatre-making.

Led by experienced theatre practitioners, the groups give participants a full and rounded experience of the processes involved in making theatre. Sessions are weekly at our base in Rotherhithe. Whether you've never acted before and want to develop your skills, or if you're looking to build on existing experience - London Bubble is a place where participants of all ages and all levels of experience are supported and inspired.

5-7s YOUTH THEATRE Tuesdays - 4.30pm to 6pm
8-11s YOUTH THEATRE< Mondays - 4.30pm to 6pm
12-14s YOUTH THEATRE Mondays - 6.30pm to 8.30pm
15+ YOUTH THEATRE Wednesdays - 6.30pm to 8.30pm

The first session is a free 'taster'.

Pineapple Performing Arts School

We hold drop in street Dance classes every Saturday, where you just turn up and dance!

SATURDAY DROP-IN (8 - 16 years old)
Fresh and funky dance moves brought to you by experience and talented Pineapple tutors. If you have a keen interest in Street Dance and would like to start to learn, or improve your skill, then this is the place for you. These open classes do not require any enrolment, simply turn up, pay the teacher and enjoy the class.

Every Saturday:
1 - 2 pm Under 11yrs
2 - 3 pm 12-16yrs
Cost: £5.00

Young Movers Dance at Ballet Rambert

Young Movers is for young people interested in dance who are aged 10-13. The classes are high energy and fun and are an excellent introduction to contemporary dance for young people. No previous dance experience is necessary, but members must be enthusiastic and committed. The classes are taught by experienced dancers and teachers. Young Movers will choreograph a piece of work that is performed at the end of term for parents and potentially at an additional local venue.

Music, choirs and orchestras

Music Whether you want to be a singer or a classical pianist, you should be able to find someone or an organisation to help you learn.

Musical Express is run by music therapist, Jenny Tabori. Classes take place at Southfields Methodist Church, 423 Durnsford Road, Wimbledon Park, SW19 and Wimbledon Rugby Club, Barham Road, Copse Hill, Wimbledon, SW20 and are for children from 6 months to 3 1/2 years. contact: jenny@musicalexpress.co.uk
