London Open House Weekend16th and 17th September 2006This festival gives everyone the opportunity to visit over 600 buildings new and old across London which are not normally open to the public. Visits are free and highlights include the Bank of England, The Foreign Office, Festival Hall, St Pancras Station as well as private homes ranging from the very grand to the very eco friendly. You do need to buy a guide to see the full list of all 600 buildings but for £3 it's worth it - you can download a PDF http://www.londonopenhouse.org/london/shopnine.html
city of 1000 architectsChildren can express their creativity and build their own version of London with modelling materials on a huge floor plan of the City! Activity takes place 10.30am - 1pm on Saturday 16th September on the top floor of City Hall, near to Tower Bridge... the big buildHave fun building with K'Nex construction kits. Prizes will be awarded for the best model. Suitable for children between 8-12 years. |
