The Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch is home to London's first Urban Beach, bringing a slice the Caribbean to East London this summer. With sand, palm trees and a stock of deck chairs the Old Truman Brewery has been transformed into a complete beach haven. The urban beach features genuine Caribbean sand flown in from Jamaica, spread over a 437 square-yard area at the Old Truman Brewery car park. A series of events are being planned up for the summer, including volleyball tournaments and film screenings. The beach will be a hub of activity in Shoreditch and the only place in London to lounge in true Caribbean style. Entry to the beach is free.
