Summer Music and Festivals

The Glastonbury Festival may be taking a break this year but don't fret, there are lots of musical events in and around London this summer with a variety to suit all tastes.

Young children love to boogie and if the sun shines a day of music in the park can be fantastic family fun. Take a picnic, a bunch of friends and chill!

The London African Music Festival runs from 19th-28th May on The South Bank

Fruitstock which is organised by the smoothie makers Innocent is in Regents Park from 5-6th August and is FREE

Carnaval del Pueblo takes place 7th August in Burgess park, Camberwell

The London Mela is in Gunnersbury Park on 13th August.

Rise Festival 8th July hip-hop, indie, pop, jazz and reggae. FREE

Spitalfields Festival: 5th-23rd June, singing workshops, Somali music, jazz, brass bands, classical and more.

Riverfront Jazz Festival 11th-15th May and 23rd September -1st October

Tower Music Festival, 28th June-14th July, a wide choice of renowned artists.

Mostly Mozart at The Barbican, 6th June-31st July. Celebrating 250 years of Mozart.

Wireless Festival, Hyde Park 21st-23rd June, contemporary music

The Greenwich and Docklands International Festival 22nd -25th June. Street entertainment, art and performance.

Latitude Festival, Reading, 25th-27th August. Contemporary music.

HiFi South, 26th-27th May. Contemporary music.
